Once again Umedi celebrated Saint Patrick’s day. Color plays a very important role this day, the school was decorated in bright green and children and the teachers wore all green clothes.
We focused on different aspects of the irish culture and tradition, always having in mind, that Ireland is an English speaking country. We used Saint Patrick’s festival as the setting we need to celebrate the English language day at Umedi.
The big ones, took part in the famous horse racing in Ascott, and they paraded with elegant hats.
Children also learnt how to dance irish dances (“jigs”) and they practice them in the playground.
